Here’ll you’ll find my collection of images of the other planets in our solar system. Planetary imaging has been a very frustrating pursuit for me. Constant high humidity and haze in my area create very unfavourable conditions for planetary imaging. The vast majority of my planetary imaging attempts have ended in failure, although some posted here have returned reasonable results. But regardless, I keep trying. Planetary imaging is often referred to as “lucky imaging” for a reason. I haven’t been lucky for the most part.
Of particular interest may be one amazing shot of Saturn that will be rather easy to pick out of the gallery. The proverbial “stars aligned” for me giving me a brief moments of uncharacteristically stable skies where I was able to capture about 1200 frames of high speed video of the ringed planet and produce what Terence Dickinson called “one of the best planetary images I’ve ever seen captured from this area“.
